With the help of relective tape and leg reflector on outside leg and a inexpensive headlamp from Target (Radar ate my good one when he was a puppy). I have managed to teach myself that even when it's rather cold, dark and uncomfortable outside it still can be rather rewarding. I do use the treadmill when it is to snowy or cold. But hey it won't be to much longer only 3 more months.........................................................................................................................yikes!!!!!!!!!!!&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;What am doing still living in Minnesota. Soon my wife and I will be empty nesters, except for animals, who knows maybe some place warm is in our future.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;For now I will try to get as many long runs in on weekends as possble to help me try and stay sane. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Happy Running !!!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style='clear:both; type='text'>So I signed up for my first Marathon</title><content type='html'>Well almost, it's a half Marathon, but very excited and have been training hard enough this summer so I know I will be ready when the day comes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On Daily Mile www.dailymile.com recently I read of a younger woman whom is training for a Marathon, and just today she ran 20 miles. She said it was "tough" but she did it and never thought she could run that far. Then to quote her "All of you saying that you couldn't do 20, I thought that too but somehow I did it. I think you could too".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have another 2 months to prepare so I will be fine, it just seems so big at first. Felt great, wanted more but had to do some chores around the house. Each day I fell a little stronger/healthier....I think I like this daily mileage thing. No endorphin high today...just enjoying the beautiful weather, it was cloudy but did not matter. Felt good to get back out there.&lt;br /&gt;I bought a bike helmet, now I look just like Lance, shades and all. Just need to get one of those fancy rear view mirrors for my helmet. It was cooler than usual about 75, but humid....and me and humidity don't get a long to well. I made it through the run chalked it up to being old.....again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Made some dinner for my wife whom was getting home late. Got on my bike and tried to make up for my bad run....not. I was dressed in running shorts, trail shoes and a Cloudveil rain jacket which kept me dry through out my 5K run.
